Linda Hamilton is a speech-language pathologist who specializes in adolescent, adult, and geriatric communication and swallowing disorders. She received her Master of Science from California State University, Northridge communication disorders and sciences department. She specializes in neurogenic disorders that affect speech, language, cognition and swallowing. Her career includes specialized NICU certification for swallowing disorders, LSVT certification for voice therapy, Neuromotor and Neurogenic certification for treatment of speech, language and swallowing disorders, as well as continuing education for dementia, cognitive deficits in adults and adolescents, apraxia in children and adults, aphasia, and supervising CFYs and SLPAs. It’s not just the doctor making house calls anymore! Linda can be found on site in schools, hospitals, skilled nursing and assistive living facilities as well as in the Inspire Clinic in Mission Hills. She currently resides in Sylmar – at Hamilton Manor, with her son William, who is finishing a medical degree, and her dog Blue. She is often visited by her daughter Nikki, USC graduate of the Keck School of Medicine, and her four awesome granddaughters, Isabella, Kianna, Savannah and Kiarra. Linda enjoys gardening, reading, watching her granddaughters’ basketball games, having long conversations with Blue (yes he’s a dog but he never argues!) and hanging with the kids!
